It always comes back to people and the stories they hold. As a young artist my body of work is consistently shifting as I experiment with a variety of mediums and ideas. But whether it be a short film or a sculpture, my artistic pieces always seem to circle back to the depth and functions of humanity. I am on a never-ending artistic quest for the gritty details of society, the fragility of the human form, the complexity of a lifespan, and the ways in which society, emotion, and humanity influence one another.

I work with a variety of materials and mediums, including but not limited to colored pencils, ink wash, oil paint, photography, film, graphic illustration, and, of course, graphite. My most recent pieces have centered around feminist theory and the role of women in society – a topic that is often expressed in blunt and raw artistic choices. But while I refuse to box myself into a single medium or constrict myself to a certain ideology, I am continually drawn and intrigued by the realm of stage and screen design, since these art forms combine my fascination with stories and my love for artistic experimentation.

My general style is best described as complex simplicity. One of my artistic goals is to create pieces that may appear simple upon first glance, but then become deeper and more intricate when looked at closely. I value and strive for minimalistic designs that feature impactful details, high contrast, symbolic colors, and careful consideration of space. Overall, my artistic work revolves around uncovering and revealing what it truly means to be human in crisp, intense, and unambiguous ways.
